AMC Networks (formerly Rainbow Media)

Rainbow Media Logo

Main Event has been working with AMC Networks since it was owned by Cablevision and called Rainbow Media. In addition to many events for AMC and We, Diane has also coordinated the welcome breakfast when the Sundance Channel was incorporated under the Rainbow umbrella, as well as holiday events for IFC. In addition, Diane has planned annual holiday events for the CEO of AMC Networks for nine of the last eleven years, as well as the inaugural Green Event, the employee welcome party to 11 Penn Plaza, several annual Emmy events, and the 12.12.12 Concert for Sandy Relief.

AMC Networks Inc. has been dedicated to producing quality programming and movie content for more than 30 years. AMC Networks owns and operates several of the most popular and award-winning brands in cable television:

AMC Networks reserved three hospitality suites at Madison Square Garden for their clients, and asked Main Event to liaise with MSG to make sure all clients were comfortable while they enjoyed the 12-12-12: The Concert for Sandy Relief. The concert was held on December 12, 2012 in response to Hurricane Sandy, which devastated portions of Northeastern United States, the Caribbean and the Mid-Atlantic in late October 2012 and cost an estimated $63 billion in damage in the United States. Proceeds from the event were collected by the Robin Hood Relief Fund, the largest, independent poverty-fighting organization in the New York area, to benefit victims of the hurricane. Visit the 12.12.12 benefit website.

Many famous performers took part in the charity event, including Bruce Springsteen, Alicia Keys, Bon Jovi, Eric Clapton, Billy Joel, The Rolling Stones, Roger Waters, Chris Martin, Michael Stipe, The Who, Kanye West, Eddie Vedder (who performed “Comfortably Numb” with Roger Waters in my favorite performance of the evening, view the video ), and, for the first time in eighteen years, the surviving members of Nirvana, who performed together in a collaboration with Paul McCartney during his show-closing set. I was pleased to be a small part of relief for the Hurricane victims, as it hit close to my downtown Manhattan home for me and my family, and feel blessed to have witnessed this unforgettable evening.

When Rainbow Media restructured and moved many of their offices from Jericho to Manhattan, the CEO asked ME to create a welcoming atmosphere in their offices for 400 guests. We coordinated four different menus and décor themes for the Welcome to Rainbow 10001 Event at their offices, from health-conscious for the We brand to "movie food for movie lovers" for the AMC brand. Each area, whether a common area or conference room, reflected the look and feel of the brand, from lava lamps and tablecloths, to colorful wineglasses and branded cocktail napkins. ME also consulted on the raffle (including design of ticket, prizes and Ambassadors for each party venue) and signage. February, 2008.

Décor on the "Breaking Bad" side of the Rainbow Media Emmy party included rock candy in beakers and flasks with colored liquids and dry ice, served by waiters in aprons and goggles (the better for concocting crystal meth!) October, 2009.
